I had the pleasure of being on the NBA Memphis Grizzly Granny and Grandpa dance team during the 2008-2009 when Brandee Evans was our instructor. The team had one previous instructor and one after Brandee departed to dance professionally. Brandee is the best ever. Brandee is an outstanding instructor, motivator, and leader. She is always prepared, innovative, and caring. She goes above and beyond the requirements of the position. Brandee was always completely dedicated to the tasks and made the year the best ever for the team and it's members.
The dances were captivating, extremely fast paced, current, and exactly what the fans wanted. We received continuous compliments from the fans about the performances. I know we sold many tickets as fans constantly said they came to watch us dance. Brandee was always prepared for each session, she had her assistants prepared, and she and her assistants led us with each phase of the routines. Every week after practice Brandee would record and send us videos, so we could practice on our own. This she did on her own time, this is just one example of going above and beyond what was expected. She always delivered. Another example was the uniforms. She insured that everyone had proper fitting and fan favorite uniforms.
Brandee made us a team that was proud, worked hard, functioned together, and provided unbelievable entertainment for the fans. Brandee also instructed the junior (teens) and youth (pre teens) teams. During her tenure, these teams always received standing ovations from the fans. I have tapes of the dances we performed and still am amazed that we actually were able to do those difficult, fascinating, and great dances. I'm very proud to tell people that I had the opportunity to be a member of Brandee's dance team and that I consider her one of the best leaders I've encountered in my life. Best of all, I consider she and her super husband, as one of the greatest couples in my world. I want her back as our teacher, but she is onto bigger and better things. I am happy for them. I know she will excel in all endeavors. Brandee is a valuable asset to any organization. Thank you Brandee for the positive influence you have made on all of our lives.

I have had the distinct pleasure being a member of the Grizzlies Grannies and Grandpa's Senior Dance Team coached by Brandee Evans. I have been a member and leader of this team for the past six seasons. I really enjoyed myself a lot the year that Brandee coached our team.
Brandee has a high level of professionalism and she took a very diverse group of Seniors and as a result of her Coaching and Leadership took our team to a much higher level. She coached us to believe in ourselves and she believed in us as well. She is an excellent teacher and she taught us that we could actually do more difficult routines.
Brandee's communication and follow up were second to none. We worked hard at practice and the crowd absolutely loved our routines. We also had a lot of fun having Brandee as our coach.
Our routines showed a lot of creativity and innovation. Brandee taught us that dedication and caring what we brought to the floor would show up at our performances.

I am a former member of Bolton High School Varsity Pom as well as Memphis Hip Hop All Stars. I can honestly say that dancing for Brandee was probably some of the best times of my life. I think I spent more time with her in those two years than I did with my own family!
As a member of the Pom squad I had the chance to know Brandee as a coach. She was, in my opinion, the master of pom! Visuals, formations, kicklines, technique, etc; she knew what worked! I witnessed her work a miracle. She turned us into a winning team. We worked hard, and she was tough, I'll admit, but it was so worth it.
It really wasn't until I joined MHH that I got to know the AMAZING person Brandee really is. We were a group of high school students from all over Memphis and the surrounding areas, who were so different, but MHH was where we all came together and nothing mattered but us and our routine. She was selfless in her work with MHH. Brandee went out of her way to expose us to forms dance, music, competitions, and choreographers that we may not have been exposed to otherwise. She had this weird way of bringing out a drive and passion for dance that we never knew we had.
Choreography for MHH, even before my time, always had a reputation of having a “WOW” factor. It was all from Brandee’s "visions", as we called them back then. There was always something new and innovative for us to try.
Brandee is nothing short of amazing. Dance is truly her calling. With her work you can never go wrong.
She just has the ability to visualize things creative and new! She is a true professional.
Lastly and most importantly Brandee instills in her dancers qualities that she possesses herself, discipline, strength, leadership, and teamwork.
Brandee, thank you for everything. I always told you that your work never went unnoticed. You are reaping now, everything that you’ve sown into us. :-)

I have had the pleasure of knowing Brandee for over 12 years. I first met her as a Dance Instructor for United Spirit Association. She was a camper from the Memphis Elite Pom Team. At that time she was still in High School, but attending dance camp with College students and Professional NBA and NFL dancers. Her dancing was very powerful and she stood out among hundreds of other dancers.
Years later I had the honor of being Brandee’s coach for the Memphis Grizzlies Dance Team. At this time I was able to get to know Brandee on a different level. I found her drive and work ethics to be outstanding. She was coaching several Pom teams while being a Professional NBA Dancer and attending college. She was able to juggle her schedule so that her commitment to her teams did not interfere with her commitment to the Grizzlies or her education. I was amazed by her talent as a dancer but even more as a Choreographer. It’s very hard to find good dancers that are, good performers and good Choreographers. And Brandee is one that has strengths in all the above areas.
After a few years of watching and admiring her abilities I recommended Brandee to teach for the company in which I first met her- “United Spirit Association”. I was so pleased with how she stepped up and worked with this company. I received nothing but positive feedback on her work each year. I believe she has worked for “USA” for 7 years. Which made me extremely proud, to have recommended her for this teaching position.
When I decided to leave the Memphis Grizzlies, I wanted the teams that I had started to continue to grow and move on to the next level in their performances. So I again highly recommended Brandee to fill the position as the Entertainment Coordinator. And of course she stepped right in and did an awesome job. Her 3 teams that she coached were very happy with her as their Coordinator. They were extremely disappointed when she left to pursue her dance career. But a testament to her Character is that, they all follow her career and truly support her in all that she does-3 years later.
I have seen Brandee mature from this, powerful little High School Pom dancers, into this amazing Professional Dancer, who works consistently in the industry. She has developed a style of her own that sets her apart from other working dancers in the industry. When you hire Brandee for anything, know that she will bring quality material (choreography), she will give a 100% in making sure you get exactly what you paid for. Her choreography is creative, innovating and current. This past year we brought Brandee in to teach on several occasions at our studio. Our younger dancers were so inspired by her. She was very down to earth, when teaching she was encouraging and her energy made the vibe in the class one that the kids didn’t want to stop dancing.
I love Brandee!! And I consider her to be a very good friend, as well as someone I now turn to for motivation, encouragement and advice. She is the real deal!!! Up front, honest, hardworking and cares about everything she is involved in.

Brandee has choreographed many routines for teams that I have coached, including Ringgold and Middle School, Heritage High and Middle School, and the Massari-Wood All Stars. I met Brandee three years ago when I coached Decatur County Middle School and she helped us to get a 5th place finish in the Jr. High Hip Hop Division at the NDTC in Orlando (2009). Her hip hop choreography is some of the best in the industry. She always teaches with professionalism and caring for the team that she serves. Brandee came back and choreographed a routine this year for the high school team I coach, Riverside High School , and once again she delivered a winning routine. Riverside made it to the Finals at the NDTC last weekend in Orlando on our first trip to Nationals as a high school team. Riverside placed 7th in the state of Tennessee in only our 2nd year and won 1st at Delta Blues in Tunica. We will continue to use Brandee as long as she continues teach choreography. I have known Brandee for the past 6 years. She has come to Indiana to teach her pom and hip hop choreography to the Munster varsity and junior varsity dance teams. Brandee has always taken the time to bring innovated choreography to my team. She uses a variety of jumps, turns, and visuals to give us the best pom routines our state has seen. With her choreography, we have moved closer to the national champions. She always takes the time before coming out to teach us to watch our competitors and know what is needed for us to strive to be the best. Brandee takes the time to talk to my captains on different ways to motivate the team and push them to be their best.
Every year, the girls get more and more excited to see what she is going to give us. When Brandee is teaching, she has a way to bring out skills in the girls that I have not seen. She believes in them and teaches them the correct way to do the moves. After girls graduate, they look forward to seeing the next year’s pom dance to see what Brandee has done with the new team.
In addition to pom, Brandee has choreographed hip hop routines for Munster. She brought such an entertaining routine for my team that the audience loved it. It was a perfect style for my team. Before I took on the job as head coach, she used to choreograph both pom and hip hop for Munster. I remember watching their routines wondering who choreographed them and was so very happy that she continued choreographing when I took on the job as head coach.
I am always very happy with her choreography and get very excited to see what inspires her the next year in her choreography. She always comes prepared and works with me on what I feel the strengths are for the upcoming team. Brandee also is very good at communicating with me before she arrives to teach the team. I cannot wait to work with her again.
